Best Dog Park in Paducah
If there is a furry member of your family, outdoor fun is essential. Many of the parks in Paducah are dog-friendly, but the best two destinations are the Bob Noble Dog Park and Keiler Park.
Bob Noble Dog Park
Bob Noble Park is a great place for dogs. This is the only official dog park in town with a fenced area, dog fountains, and shade shelters. Dog parks are sorted by weight, and off-leash play is allowed inside the enclosures.
Outside the dog park, dogs can also enjoy leashed exploration of the greenway and the walking paths and bark at a few ducks and geese by the pond.
Keiler Park
For a casual place to walk your dog along tree-shaded paths, check out Kieler Park. It's open and relaxed with a dogs-allowed policy. There is a small playground and several shaded pavilions for relaxation and waste disposal. It is also well-positioned near homes and businesses for convenient access and has plenty of parking.
Best Playground Park in Paducah, KY
Playgrounds are an essential part of park design in any town. While there are several pretty good playgrounds in town, the three best locations to frolic on creatively crafted play equipment are the Rotary Park and the Noble Skate Park.
Rotary Park
Rotary Park and the Paducah Rotary Playground is by far the best playground in town.
The space is built like an expansive wooden castle with a combination of gravel and rubberized ground cover. There is shady seating nestled in the center of the park to comfortably supervise play and particularly creative playground features like the music stations, unusual obstacle courses, mini golf field, swingset, climbing walls, and splash pad. There's also a fitness equipment area and community garden to provide fun for all ages.
Noble Skate Park
If you prefer your entertainment on wheels, head back to Bob Noble Park and check out the Noble Skate Park. There is a safe path for learning and a few cool half-pipes, mounds, and rails to practice fun tricks on bikes, skateboards, and rollerblades. Just be sure to bring your helmet and knee pads.
Best Riverside Park in Paducah
Of course, one of the best things about living in Paducah is access to the river. Where would we be without at least one riverside park to watch the water flow by from a grassy shore? For river relaxation, the best spot is Raymond C. Shultz Park.
Raymond C. Shultz Park
The Raymond C. Shultz Park is home to a beautiful grassy shore by the Ohio River bank and a lot of historical plaques. You will find plaques commemorating the first local log cabin, Judge Shultz, to whom the park is dedicated, and Captain Nicholas Roosevelt, all from different eras. But for a waterside picnic, the view is really spectacular, and the breeze is cool and fresh.
